HelpHow to capture, edit and submit your video to PoolVids.com: Most modern digital cameras support video recording mode. If you adjust the video quality settings to a lower resolution and lower frame rate, you'll be able to capture more video on your camera's memory. Experiment to see what works best for you. Note that memory is cheap these days. You might look into getting a new memory card for your camera so you can store more video per session. When recording yourself or a friend shooting pool, be sure to have the camera fixed either from the side or the end of the table. It should be far enough away (and high enough off the ground) so that the entire table (all pockets) can be seen. If recording your stroke you'll need a wider shot. You can edit together different angles in your finished product. Having a friend record you by following you around the table generally doesn't work well, unless your friend is a skilled camera person. A fixed location is best. Once you've created your video on your camera, you can transfer it to your computer as you normally would. From there, you can edit the video using video editing software. Windows (XP and higher) offers Windows Movie Maker, which helps you edit out unwanted video, add visual effects (such as transitions and subtitles), and you can overlay your own audio as well. Windows Movie Maker is free, and is generally easy to use. Once you've finished editing your file, you can take your finished product and upload it to PoolVids.com. Just register to create your username (it's free) and follow the instructions to upload your video. Thanks for your participation!
